We believe in telling the story of every organization.
We know that, with a well-designed website, we can drive home the point.
In 1987, Loveland Habitat was founded by a small community group who recognized a fast-growing need for safe and affordable housing for Loveland’s low-income residents. Their goal was to provide a hand-up, not a hand-out, to help families build and purchase an affordable home. 30 years later, through the hard work of homeowners and volunteers, over 134 homes and 28 home preservation projects have been completed.
It was our pleasure to work with the Loveland Habitat for Humanity team to tell this remarkable story through inviting design, encouraging forms, engaging click-throughs, and beautiful imagery. Because of their passion for community, Loveland Habitat came to us with authentic images that paired nicely with their branding and the overall feel of the site.
Encouraging others to work hard for their community and to better understand Habitat for Humanity’s process, goals, and functions, was truly a joy for the website team at FootSteps Marketing. As annual volunteers, our team knows firsthand the impact volunteering and donating can have on a hardworking family whose home we help build, and we made sure, with impactful design elements, bright colors and bold lines, this site ignited joy, camaraderie, and action.
One of our favorite aspects of this project was helping Loveland Habitat for Humanity tell the stories of homeownership through the renowned Habitat for Humanity home-buying program with user-friendly interior page design. Due to simple misunderstandings, many Americans still believe that Habitat homes are free to their owners when in fact the owners not only purchase the homes but are required to build the homes, too. Not only does this huge commitment help the homeowners offset the financial burden but also ensures that those from the community who volunteer get to have the added level of knowing the families they are supporting.
The process to purchase a Habitat for Humanity home is arguably more extensive and competitive than a typical home purchase scenario. To learn more about the process and how to help, visit the new, beautiful, impactful website.
